Advanced Training for Chemical Tanker Cargo Operations

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The 3-day advanced course for chemical tanker cargo operations takes place at Aboa Mare in Turku, Finland. The course is intended for deck officers and engineers in charge of loading, discharging and handling of cargo on board chemical tankers. This course covers the requirements set by STCW and IMO Model Course 1.03.

We are specialized on simulation, ice navigation (Polar Code and azimuthing propulsion courses in ice) and IGF Code courses for LNG fueled ships. Aboa Mare’s first-rate simulators are also used for research, innovation, and development projects.

Assessment

Knowledge is assessed with a written exam. Competences and skills are assessed through simulator exercises.
