trains professional mariners on the youth level and as adult education
Aboa Mare offers secondary level education at Axxell vocational institute. We offer versatile education for both youth and adults. At Axxell you can take a Watchkeeping Officer (Vaktstyrman) or Watchkeeping Engineer (Vaktmaskinmästare) degree in Swedish but you can also improve your professional skills by participating in Domestic traffic area courses in Swedish or Finnish, not leading to a degree. Axxell concentrates on providing maritime education for future and present seafarers.
