IRM-tool is innovation project that bridges creative knowledge with the maritime industry’s innovation needs during 29.5.2017-29.4.2019. Project develops a concept or a tool that helps to utilize innovation theories in concrete problem solving situations. The tool will be designed so, that anybody regardless of his or hers professional background can utilize it. Maritime Industry provides real life challenges, and creative knowledge, e.g. service design, acting, drawing, game developing etc. is utilized to combine the theory and practice. Service design and media professionals are used to develop practical and interesting content for the tool.
The project differs from earlier projects especially due to its special focus on the last stages of the innovation process, such as the conceptualization, piloting, or launching stage. Learning outcomes are utilized for innovation management and education development needs in both fields, as well as for boosting education export.
IRM-tool project is coordinated by Novia University of Applied Sciences. Other project partners are Åbo Akademi and Turku University of Applied Sciences. Meyer Turku shipyard is a strategic partner. The project is funded by European Social Fund.
